Coreless Induction Furnaces-Porous Plugs
Refining process in coreless induction furnaces based on gas purging system is a short-process metal-making technology, featured with small investment, lower operating cost, higher product quality, energy conservation and eco-friendliness.
RCGP-CIF Porous Plugs are installed at the bottom of induction furnace hearth; through which gases will flow and diffuse into the melt.
Benefits of RCGP-CIF porous plug include:
- Thermal and chemical homogenization
- Degassing (removal of hydrogen, nitrogen, etc.)
- Cleaner metal
- Increased melt rate
- Fluxing
In most cases, RCGP-CIF porous plug is installed being covered with certain thickness of permeable material. And for the sake of effectiveness and safety, RCPMB-1, RCPMB-2 permeable materials are strongly recommended.
